Who's Next On The Record...

Samaera is a New York–based singer and songwriter bringing personality, vulnerability, and a fearless pop sensibility to everything she creates. Her music moves between emotional honesty and undeniable confidence, pairing sharp songwriting with a sound and visual world that feel distinctly her own.

Audiences may recognize Samaera as the voice behind Misty Rose on FOX’s Alter Ego, where she ultimately finished third in the competition. Since then, she has continued developing her identity as an independent artist, songwriter, and performer.

In 2026, Samaera introduced listeners to a new chapter with her EP Samaerica. The project features “Here Comes Trouble,” “Simon Says,” “Tragedy,” and “Damage,” offering a glimpse into the bold, playful, and deeply personal world she is building through her music. A deluxe edition followed later that summer.

Samaera joins You’re On The Record to talk about her journey as an artist, the stories behind the music, navigating the industry as a songwriter and performer, and what comes next as she continues building the world of Samaera.
